What is Edit Video?

Edit Video mode allows you to transform existing videos using natural language commands. No need for complex video editing tools or software—simply describe what you want to change, and Kling will handle the rest, making precise, pixel-level modifications to your video.

Whether you're adjusting elements like lighting, backgrounds, or characters, you can make seamless changes based on your descriptions. The power of AI lets you edit your video with just a few words.

  • Natural Language Control: Describe edits in plain text, making video editing as easy as writing a sentence.

  • Object Removal: Cleanly remove unwanted elements from the scene without artifacts.

  • Style Transfer: Apply artistic visual styles to change the look and feel of the video.

  • Scene Modification: Change environments or background settings to fit your needs.

  • Lighting & Weather Effects: Adjust lighting, time of day, or add atmospheric effects like snow or rain.

How to Use?

Select the "Edit Video" Mode: From the Kling model options, select Edit Video to enter the video editing interface.

Upload Your Video: Provide the video you want to edit by uploading it to the platform.

Describe Your Edit: Write a simple, natural language command to specify what you’d like to change in the video. Example:

  • “Remove all cars from the street and change the time of day to sunset.”

  • “Add snow falling in the background.”

Set Parameters: Choose video duration, resolution, and output format according to your preferences.

Generate the Video: Click Generate to create your video, maintaining subject consistency while introducing new dynamic elements.


Input Media Supported

Edit video supports various input media to help guide video generation and editing, ensuring flexibility in your creative process.

Videos:

  • 1 video can be uploaded for use in Edit Video.

  • Duration: 3 to 10 seconds.

  • Max File Size: 200MB.

  • Max Resolution: 2K.

Elements:

  • Multiple images (up to 4) can be uploaded or generated from different angles to form an element, providing more reference information for the model.

  • Note:

    • When a video is present, you can upload up to 4 images/elements combined.

    • Without a video, you can upload up to 7 images/elements.


Example Edits You Can Make:

  • Objects: Add, remove, or replace characters, props, or items in the scene.

  • Environments: Change the background or switch to a different scene, such as from a city street to a forest.

  • Lighting & Time: Modify the time of day, adjust lighting for different moods (e.g., sunset, dawn), or change weather conditions like adding fog or rain.

  • Camera Angles: Alter the camera’s perspective, tilt, or zoom to give the video a different viewpoint.
