The core tools available in the Ideate AI interface, including their functionality and use cases for efficient design and editing workflows
01. Navigation Tools
Tools to move, pan, and manage canvas layout and elements.

Function: Select and reposition objects.
Shortcut:

Use Case: Rearranging or interacting with elements.
β Hand (Pan) Tool
Function: Scroll or pan around the canvas without affecting objects.
Shortcut:
H
Use Case: Navigating across large canvases or zoomed views.
02. Brush Tool
For sketching, visual markup, and freehand drawing directly on the canvas.

Function: Enables freeform drawing with adjustable stroke settings.
Use Case: Drawing, outlining ideas, quick sketching.
A. Brush Settings
Customize how your brush behaves for different styles of creation.
ποΈ Size
Slider to control brush thickness.

Controls transparency of the stroke.
π¨ Color Picker
Gradient box with sliders for hue, saturation, and brightness.
Select from full spectrum with real-time preview.
π Stabiliser
Improves precision and smoothness in strokes, reducing hand jitter.
Options:
0x
: No smoothing (raw input)1x, 2x, 3x
: Increasing levels of smoothing
03. πͺ£ Paint Bucket
Function: Fills any selected shape (rectangle, ellipse, or closed area) with a solid color.
Use Case: Best for applying backgrounds, flat fills, or base layers to visual elements.
π οΈ Paint Bucket Settings
Color Picker:
Tap the color swatch to open a full HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) gradient interface.
Drag on the color pad to choose any shade.
Adjust hue, brightness, and saturation using sliders.
Use Hex code input for precise brand or style-matching.
See a real-time preview of the fill color in the shape.
This tool is visually identical to the Brush and Shape fill pickers but used specifically for filling areas with a single tap instead of drawing strokes.
Opacity
Controls the transparency of the filled area.Can be combined with shape opacity for layered effects.
04. Eraser Tool

Function: Deletes brush strokes or drawn elements from the canvas.
Settings:
Size: Adjustable using a slider, Default is 50%
Use Case: Correcting mistakes or refining artwork edges.
05. Shapes Tool

Function: Allows you to draw predefined shapes on the canvas.
Available Shapes:
π³ Rectangle (R)
βͺ Ellipse (E)
β Line (L)
A. Shapes Settings
Customize the visual properties of drawn shapes, including color, borders, corners, and width.
π¨ Fill & Stroke
Color Picker: Tap the colored box to launch full gradient and hex control.
Opacity: Controls the transparency of the shape fill.
Stroke Type (for lines and outlines):
Solid, Dashed, Dotted options
π¦ Corner Radius
Available when rectangle is selected.
Customize each cornerβs curve individually.
Lock Icon: Uniform corner radius toggle.
Default radius values shown in pixels (e.g., 100px).
06. ποΈ Lasso Tool Menu
Function: Select specific areas of your canvas content in a flexible manner.
Dropdown Includes:
π Lasso Selection: Freehand outline-based selection
β Rectangular Selection: Traditional box selection
ποΈ Brush Selection: Paint to select area
β¨ Magic Selection: Smart select based on contrast or edge detection
A. Using Lasso Selection
Draw a freeform path around any object to create a custom selection.
Once the selection is made, the following actions become available:
π§° Selection Controls
β Add to Selection: Select additional areas by drawing new lasso paths β the new regions are merged with the existing selection.
β Remove from Selection: Subtract areas from your current selection by drawing around them while in the subtract mode.
π§© Duplicate: Instantly creates a copy of the selected area.
π Deselect: Clears the active selection from the canvas.
B. Rectangular Selection
Click and drag to define a rectangular area.
Good for selecting grouped objects or bounding box areas.
C. Brush Selection
Paint directly on the canvas to define selection.
Size slider available to control the selection brush diameter.
Helpful for soft-edge or irregular object boundaries.
07. 3D Generation

π§© Editable Mesh 3D: For deformable 3D models
πΌοΈ Multi-view 3D: Generate multiple perspectives of a 3D object
Best used after generating or uploading a 2D sketch or model base.
08. Symmetry Tool
π Symmetry Drawing
Enables mirrored drawing across one or more axes.
Modes:

β Radial Symmetry
π Lock Symmetry Axis
A. Free Form Symmetry
Create artistic strokes mirrored in real-time.
Great for character design, patterns, and mandalas.
Combine with brush or shape tools for enhanced precision or visual balance.
